Show Love – Puma x MCM Slipstream Lo

German luxury fashion brand MCM and iconic sportswear brand PUMA have collaborated on a second installment, bringing us back to old-school basketball – bridging luxury and sport.

It’s the love affair between luxury and sport that has fascinated Heiko Desens, PUMA’s Global Creative Director. He wanted to highlight the classic details of both German brands in the design and construction. Dubbed “Show Love,” a coranded Slipstream Lo marks the first of the series and features brown, gold, and white makeup with MCM Visetos Monogram. Early 2023 will see the final drop, a reimagined take on the TRC Blaze Court.

These sneakers are true to it’s sizing, and have a soft furry interior that keeps your feet soft and comfortable, and the colour combination would make your outfit pop. Basketball isn’t just a sport – it’s a lifestyle.

The MCM x PUMA Slipstream Lo releases September 8 via MCM and September 10 via PUMA and select retailers for approximately $492 USD.  Stay tuned for drop details on future releases from the collaborators.

The MCM x PUMA Slipstream Lo is gifted from Puma Australia. #PumaAuPartner

Porsche’s first EV: the Taycan Turbo S shot on the Nikon Z9

Buckle Up! Porsche’s first EV: the Taycan Turbo S.

The drive was sublime: smooth and serene, every imaginable way a true Porsche should be, but better because it’s fully electric. First of its kind to contain a system voltage of 800 volts (majority of EVs are 400 volts) which basically means, consistently high performance and reduction of charging time.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, generating up to 560 kW / 761 PS* (horsepower) of overboost power in combination with Launch Control. It carries the same acceleration figures as the 911 GT2 RS and has a combined range of up to 405 km (fully charged).

When you step on the accelerator and turn on the electric sport sound mode, you’ll whip back to the sound of a beautiful “spaceship” sound. It’s subtle, like a chameleon going about its business without making a scene. This was amusing to see because barely anyone in the fashion crowd realised we were there.

Well, my friends, the smile on my face sums up my Soul, Electrifying experience, the perfect EV car for any Biz woman. 😍

Thank you to my pro race driving coach, Bob for the day and the team at Porsche Australia.

AFTERPAY FASHION WEEK 2022 DAY 1 STREET STYLE on the NIKON Z 9

After a two year hiatus from Melbourne’s covid lockdown, this girl is KEEN to be back in Sydney shooting street style. Everything felt new and fresh to me – finding my feet around Sydney (or getting lost on the train ride to a meeting…) reconnecting with old faces and reuniting with my long time street style photography friends. I’m simply stoked to be back here at the AFTERPAY fashion week 2022, sponsored by Porsche. And the best part, I get to try the new Nikon Z 9 mirrorless camera and it’s truly a magnificent beast of a camera with exceptional quality imagery. If you want a camera that is robust, has continuous autofocus, captures an insane 25 frames per second and does not need to worry about water damage due to rain, then Heck, THIS IS THE CAMERA!

Here are the street style highlights from today’s Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2022. Enjoy! x

Profoto Lighting Workshop Coming in 9 April 2022 – Who’s In?

One of my most commonly asked questions is always about lighting – “How do I use lights to shoot street style fashion?”

Well, I’ve got great news.

In partnership with Borge’s Imaging, we are excited to present a hands-on Profoto lighting workshop at Photography Studies College.

In this workshop, you will experience a behind the scenes demonstration of my street fashion style and utilising the Profoto B10X and A10 lighting gear with a professional model.

This workshop aims to highlight my professional photography skill and experience in controlling lighting while showing off the versatility, simplicity and power of the Profoto lighting system.

This will take place at Photography Studies College in South Melbourne and pending the Melbourne weather move outdoors to some of the nearby alleyways for a live shoot.
