Dress Collective x VAMFF

The Dress Collective Runway is an official event of the 2016 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Offsite Runway Series.

On February 13, 2016, The Dress Collective merged the digital world with the tangible, presenting an interactive runway to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute, a not-for-profit organisation and world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder.

The Dress Collective is the only e-boutique that sells 100% Australian made fashion and accessories. Featuring 100% Australian made and independent fashion, The Dress Collective Runway presented their exclusive range of emerging and established designers, and here are just some of my faves and some trendy street style looks captured outside the show.

Sephora Street Style at Melbourne Central

The wait is over! The iconic beauty giant Sephora has officially landed in Melbourne.

The launch of Sephora at Melbourne Central was EPIC. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many beauty enthusiasts lining up for hair and make up cosmetics! The lines were pouring out on the streets on Latrobe street, waiting patiently for the doors to open at 12pm. “Beauty Cadets” were handing out balloons, show bag filled with bottled water and snacks, and music entertainment.

I had a quick tour around the the 500sqm space (designed by Lisa Zhang @DeviousStudios) and as you can imagine, there were aisles of more than 30 exclusive beauty brands such as Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, IT Cosmetics, Cover FX, NUDESTIX, Beauty Blender, Ole Henriksen, Formula X and its own private label SEPHORA cosmetics.

Believe it or not, I love makeup for someone who barely puts on makeup. I have a thing for pretty make up packaging. I have a drawer full of Sephora products such as hair clips, egg-shaped foundation blender, makeup brushes and my fave, contouring trio pack but honestly I’m quite a simple person who loves a good skincare regime. It’s takes me 5 minutes to put on my makeup but preventing it from smudging against my camera is another story. Note to self – wear eye primer!

As part of the Sephora launch, Melbourne Central invited me back to spot 12 of my favourite street looks from the excited lines of adoring Sephora fans.

So here are my top 12 street style picks of the day. Thanks for the snaps everyone x
