My fave look of the day was the cute striped navy outfit, meeting Samantha Jade who looked stunning in Demillinery headpiece, and hanging out with my all time favourite girl, Alexia Petsinis who handmade her beautiful green dress. Enjoy the highlights!

I just want to start this post by thanking you guys for the overwhelming positive response to all my images on What Would Karl Do blogsite, Instagram, Facebook and even walking up to me to tell me in person! Wow thank you so much! What amazed me the most is when I woke up this morning, I found my image of Lindy and Michael Klim’s Louboutin heels on Louboutinworld’s Instagram feed (over 3.4M followers) with 73K likes, I mean that’s incredible, and the fact that they acknowledged our work shows me how ethically and the respect they have for other creative’s work.
You see, I love Louboutin’s trademark red shoes because it was only 3 years ago I went to Paris to visit their infamous store on 19 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 75001 Paris to buy my very first pair of Louboutin heels (patent violet heels) as Parisian souvenir. The store manager who served me at the time even let me in on a secret back then that an Australian lady was opening up a store in Sydney! It has surely come to pass!
Here’s the image that’s going viral (thanks for the regrams too):
Anyway, grab a Lavazza coffee and enjoy some highlights I have for you from Melbourne Cup Day. Feel free to leave me any comments as I would love to hear from you x
The Lavazza marquee 2014 this year was centred around chic Italian-inspired art work, platters of antipasto and Lavazza coffee. Main celebrity guests were Erykah Badu, DJ Nick Cohen, Margherita Maccapani Missoni and Solange Knowles (who unfortunately rocked up 2 hours late for her scheduled DJ gig). It was also nice catching up with Nicole Warne from Garypepper girl, and Nadia Bartel from Chronicles of Nadia who looked stunning from head to toe in their monochrome themed outfits. However it was only Margherita Missoni who stood out because she broke the black and white tradition with a colourful ensemble and mix of posies headpiece. You go girl!
Thank you Lavazza Australia for inviting me into your marquee to snap the fashionable crowd and enjoy a cup of coffee x.

It was my first time going to the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, and what better way to experience it with my dear friend and style blogger, Jess Dempsey from What Would Karl Do. It was what I had always anticipated – Celebrity guests (Jennifer Hawkins, Alex Perry, Michael and Lindy Klim, Miss World Australia Courtney Thorp, Neil Perry, Neiman Marcus, Kerry-Anne Kennerley, Margherita Maccapani Missoni), style bloggers (Nicole Warne, Nadia Bartel, Margaret Zhang, Phoebe Montague, Cecylia Kee, Sanchia Peterson), horseracing and fashion. It wasn’t so much about the horses, but what headpiece and outfits the ladies were trending. Today was Derby Day – all to do with black and white. This year’s outfits were a mix of sophistication, texture, mesh, cut outs, patterns and wide leg pants! Headpieces were becoming more like delicate metal head bands or 3d graphical cut outs (famously designed by the clever lady, Danica Erard from Demillinery) than the traditional over-sized hat.
Lastly I would like to thank Lexus Australia, Lavazza Australia and Emirates for giving me the pleasure of experiencing your amazing hospitality and inviting me to snap all the fashionable action in the marquees. Stay tuned as I will be rolling out the content per marquee in the next few days, but for now enjoy my sneaky peeks.
