The Louis Vuitton Time Capsule Exhibition at Chadstone Fashion 2018

As a self-confessed LV-er (LOVER), I’m very thrilled for Chadstone Fashion to house the #LVTimeCapsule exhibition. Presented here was a selection of Louis Vuitton’s most memorable collaborations, and emblematic trunks, objects and documents. The entire experience gave me an insightful look at the history of the House – from the first-ever trunk produced, through the invention and constant evolution of the coated canvas, to the opening of Foundation Louis Vuitton. My favourite room was seeing all the collaboration pieces, where I wished so hard that I could skateboard my way out with that #LVSupreme skateboard and trunk. Did you know all the LV x Supreme collection was an absolute sell out world-wide!

For 1 month only, the LV Time Capsule exhibition will be open Monday – Wednesday from 9am – 5pm, Thursday – Saturday from 9am – 9pm and on Sunday from 10am – 7pm and will be free of charge to Chadstone visitors.

Address:
G-041, Ground Floor (opp. Capital Kitchen)
Chadstone – The Fashion Capital
1341, Dandenong Road
Chadstone VIC 3148

Special thanks to Romano Beck PR for the most memorable experience, and to Douha Darwiche of Adapttrend for my pics xx

BALLY launches store at Chadstone Fashion Capital 2017

With my creative menswear partner in crime, Jay Wilde of @Made.For.Men, are ecstatic to be part of the BALLY phenomenon. We have always appreciated the craftmanship and solid creativity behind every luxury designer brand, and BALLY is on the mark. What you see BALLY today, it may seem it has moved away from it’s traditional look, but if you look closely heritage shines through.

We had the privilege of visiting the newly revised BALLY flagship store at Chadstone, collaboratively developed by Bally’s design and creative committee to establish the brand’s authentic new direction. The striking façade has been designed with Bally’s iconic red marble columns that complement the brass framed windows, which in turn open up the store to the outside. It has two separate entrances either side of the corner store, the space is organised in to two large sections, giving priority to Bally’s accessories and shoes, which are the core of the brand.

JDSports the Undisputed King of Trainers lands at Highpoint

JD SPORTS is a sportswear fashion retailer in the UK, with its sneakers collection being a key selling point for consumers. The store stocks brands from Nike and Adidas as well as more exclusive labels like Emporio Armani EA7 and Pink Soda and Ivy Park, launched by Beyonce, Lacoste and pretty much any label that sneaker fans love having in their wardrobe. They’re basically the epitome of street wear retail in Europe, and I’m stoked that another JD SPORTS store has opened up their second store at Highpoint Shopping centre.

If you are living in the west side of Melbourne, this is the perfect destination for sportswear fashion therapy. Go check it out before the limited edition sneakers runs out of stock. In fact, JD SPORTS is releasing the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 GREY / BOLD ORANGE / SOLID GREY, so you better register to score yourself a pair!

Derby Day 2017 Street Style Highlights

Spring Racing Carnival 2017 is going to be different without my sidekick and fashion blogger, Jess Dempsey of What Would Karl Do. She’s about to have her third baby anytime now and I couldn’t be more excited for her! As you know, I’ve been shooting all the race style moments for Jess’s fashion blog for the past four years, so if you ask me it does feels odd that I can relax, shoot for myself and spend time catching up with everyone inside the Lexus design pavilion.

The Lexus design pavilion this year was inspired by Kiriko cut glass ornamentation, and hand-pleated door trim of the new LS Hybrid 2018 model. Upstairs, you are invited to an culinary experience of Ben Shewry of Attica to sample a three-course tasting menu, a sushi bar dishing up endless slices of sashimi, dessert bar by Caroline Khoo of Nectar and Stone, for the second year running The Daily Edited were personalising wallets, and Hugh Stewart shooting guest portraits.

Well it goes without saying, a stunning venue wouldn’t be complete without the presence of fashionable race-goers, such as Elyse Taylor, Victoria Secret’s model, Kate Waterhouse, Zara Wong of Vogue Australia, Montarna McDonald of The Audience Agency, and Emma Freedman to name a few. And when I finally ventured outside to enjoy the fresh but icy cold weather, I was pretty stoked to spot and snap up a few of my favourite Derby Day looks being Viktoria Novak wearing a black Gucci dress and her own headpiece which was a long velvet bow with pearls, Virginia and Jordan Muir wearing head to toe in Christian Dior, Jennifer Hawkins in Jonathan Simkhai and hat by Ann Shoebridge. So you be the judge, which Derby Day outfit is your favourite?
