MBFWA 2018 Camilla and Marc Opening Show

Today we celebrated Camilla and Marc’s 15 years in business who opened the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with a fully immersive show experience. Guests were transported an a beautiful Australian “rocky zen garden”. Sixty tonnes of sand were shipped in to create the 120 metre runway, bare rock and wind-stripped blossoms feature, reminiscent of arid Australian landscapes, yet giving a conceptual and futuristic appeal. If we take a look at Camilla and Marc’s latest design collection and styling, there were fringing, drapery metallic gowns, off the shoulder fitted tweed dress coats, oversized blazers, funnel sleeves, and denim pieces! If I may dare to say it had that “Balenciaga” inspired effect – masculine tailoring meets feminine silhouette. Even the accessories like the oversized bag and thigh high shoes were notable cool. Regardless, I loved that you can take any piece from the runway and restyle it in so different ways. I’m really digging the dress or blazer over the tight pants look.

April cover star of VOGUE Australia, CHARLEE FRASER, opened the show which I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing at the end of the show, and international supermodel, GEORGIA FOWLER was also seen walking the show.

Here are some of my favourite looks from Camilla and Marc’s resort 2018 collection. Enjoy!

VAMFF 2018 Ginger and Smart backstage highlights

Ginger & Smart showcased its stunning AW18 collection at VAMFF 2018, and I was really fortunate to go behind the scenes to capture my desirable looks as well as experiencing the runway show thanks to AMPR. The show was presented by Marie Claire and supported by Priceline Pharmacy and it was captivating display of femininity, shimmer and a touch of confidence cool.

VAMFF 2018 Christian Kimber AW18 Menswear Street Style

What I appreciate most about capturing street style at Christian Kimber presentations, is the diverse range of refreshingly modern take on Australian men’s style. Most of the guests that show up seem to have a very laid back and minimalistic approach to styling where comfort and high quality craftsmanship is a priority. Today was no different; and here are the highlights shot outside Bang and Olufsen venue on 33 Russell Street. Can you spot any of Christian Kimber footwear and accessories?

VAMFF 2018 Street Style Highlights

Fashion week won’t be the same if I stayed back of house, so thanks to everyone who voted for “MORE STREET STYLE” on my Instastories.

So there you have it, I’ve heard you loud and clear. In no particular order here are my favourite street style moments balancing between the gorgeous afternoon light and outfits. Hope you like them as much as I loved snapping them.

Much love to you guys xx

VAMFF 2018 David Jones Backstage Highlights

After a super long vacay in Hong Kong, I’m so glad to be back on the fashion week scene, this time at the back of house capturing my favourite runway looks at VAMFF. Tonight’s runway show was presented by David Jones; and hair and makeup by Priceline Pharmacy. This season was all about the patterns, hound tooth and plaid blazers, and pointy boots. If you were to ask me what’s my favourite, I would have to say the hound tooth long coat with this beautiful gathered back by Bianca Spender, and Jessica Gomes’s heavenly floral shirt and flared silk pants! I also loved the caramel and electric blue colour combination. Ok it’s your turn, tell me what is yours!
