It was my day off today to dress up in heels and hang out with my best friend at the Lexus Marquee. As much as I tried hiding and tried not to “work” I was quite recognisable on the streets. Got to thank my hair by Clarity Beauty for that, and the beautiful crown by Demilinery I was wearing. The truth is, you know me perfectly well – I get itchy fingers and can’t help snapping. I’m kinda regretting right now because I ended up with two painful blisters on each side of my feet. Sigh.
Here are the highlights from Melbourne Cup Day.
Special love and thanks to S. Wallis and Demilinery for dressing me, and the amazing fashion illustration by Megan Hess.

Aloha! Meet Aimee Johnson, the beautiful Style Blogger behind Aloha Everybody. What I love about her Style Blog is that she gives practical styling advice for your wardrobe; shares outfit ideas; her opinions on the latest trends; and how to wear or what not to wear with a no nonsense Melbourne lifestyle in mind. I’ve been following her work for a while so it was a huge honour when she contacted me recently to help create a strong street style images for her blog, specifically dedicated to the Melbourne Spring Racing coming up this Saturday. So here are the highlights, but be sure to check out her blog for more images and advice on what to wear at the Races here.
Just on this note, I’ll be at the Races for Derby Day, Melbourne Cup Day and Oak’s Day snapping up the event and street style fashion on the field, especially in and around the Bird Cage, Lexus and Emirates Marquee. Be sure to say hi! As always, may the best hat shine! xo
