Plant Parent fashion editorial

Ready to raise the bar on parenthood? Start with some green thumb action.

This feature follows a young man who thinks fatherhood is a breeze but soon learns the true meaning of being a cool parent through the art of indoor plant care. His parents give him the ultimate challenge, and he rises to the occasion with style and confidence, mastering the diverse and ever-changing landscape of parenting through his collection of unique and thriving plants.

This is a visual representation of his journey, showcasing his growth and evolution as a PLANT PARENT.

As parents, we know that parenting can be:

  • Fiddleleaf – “fiddly”
  • Dried flowers – “lost”
  • Vines – “Tricky and Entangled”
  • Kangaroo plant – “resilient”
  • Strong of pearls – “cherishable”.

Which plant describes your parenting situ? Would love to hear your story!

Adrian Meronk, Ashleigh Buhai & Kipp Popert are the winners of ISPN Handa Australian Open Golf Championship 2022

If you have been paying attention to my journey on Instagram (@heykarenwoo), you probably noticed that I’ve taken a serious liking to learning the game of golf. Golf has been the biggest highlight of this year, so I couldn’t contain my excitement when Golf Australia invited me to the ISPN Handa Australian Open Golf Championship 2022 event.

This Australian Open event was one for the history books where Men, Women and All Abilities golfers play in the same golf tournament.

The atmosphere was electrifying, the crowd turned out in droves, and I am enthralled by each player’s immaculate golf swing technique, style and form. So much to learn from these Pros!

Although I was rooting for the Aussies to take out the title, I have to say, our international guests Adrian Meronk (Poland), Ashleigh Buhai (South Africa) & Kipp Popert (England) were unbelievably talented and highly deserving of taking out the ISPN Handa Australian Open Championship 2022.

So without a du, here is a running photo commentary of the action that unfolded today starting at hole 8 with Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee and Adrian Meronk. I also followed Grace Kim, Min Jee Lee, Ashleigh Buhai, Hannah Green, Jiyai Shin and Jenny Shin at the final 18th hold.

Thank you Golf Australia for all the incredible support and for giving me the honour to be a special part of Australian golfing history!

Show Love – Puma x MCM Slipstream Lo

German luxury fashion brand MCM and iconic sportswear brand PUMA have collaborated on a second installment, bringing us back to old-school basketball – bridging luxury and sport.

It’s the love affair between luxury and sport that has fascinated Heiko Desens, PUMA’s Global Creative Director. He wanted to highlight the classic details of both German brands in the design and construction. Dubbed “Show Love,” a coranded Slipstream Lo marks the first of the series and features brown, gold, and white makeup with MCM Visetos Monogram. Early 2023 will see the final drop, a reimagined take on the TRC Blaze Court.

These sneakers are true to it’s sizing, and have a soft furry interior that keeps your feet soft and comfortable, and the colour combination would make your outfit pop. Basketball isn’t just a sport – it’s a lifestyle.

The MCM x PUMA Slipstream Lo releases September 8 via MCM and September 10 via PUMA and select retailers for approximately $492 USD.  Stay tuned for drop details on future releases from the collaborators.

The MCM x PUMA Slipstream Lo is gifted from Puma Australia. #PumaAuPartner

Porsche’s first EV: the Taycan Turbo S shot on the Nikon Z9

Buckle Up! Porsche’s first EV: the Taycan Turbo S.

The drive was sublime: smooth and serene, every imaginable way a true Porsche should be, but better because it’s fully electric. First of its kind to contain a system voltage of 800 volts (majority of EVs are 400 volts) which basically means, consistently high performance and reduction of charging time.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, generating up to 560 kW / 761 PS* (horsepower) of overboost power in combination with Launch Control. It carries the same acceleration figures as the 911 GT2 RS and has a combined range of up to 405 km (fully charged).

When you step on the accelerator and turn on the electric sport sound mode, you’ll whip back to the sound of a beautiful “spaceship” sound. It’s subtle, like a chameleon going about its business without making a scene. This was amusing to see because barely anyone in the fashion crowd realised we were there.

Well, my friends, the smile on my face sums up my Soul, Electrifying experience, the perfect EV car for any Biz woman. 😍

Thank you to my pro race driving coach, Bob for the day and the team at Porsche Australia.
